I need some help. My ceiling has brown spots and there is peeling and cracks also. Can anyone tell me step by step how I can repair the ceiling. I would really appreciate it. I sent two pics so that you guys can see the damage.

Welcome to the forums!

I couldn't get the pics to load :wall:

Basically any soft drywall would need replacing, the rest can be repaired. You scrape and sand until you have a good surface to apply a thin coat or two of joint compound - sand lightly when dry.

Any brown stains will need a coat of oil base primer to seal the stains so they won't bleed thru the paint

I'm sorry about the pics. I am new to this. Thank you so much for the advice.

Hi Lynns,

If you have a Google account, use Picasa, upload pictures and post the link here. No Google account? Try photobucket.

I couldn't download the photos either.

The first thing to determine is the source of the water spots. What caused them?:)

Can you try the photos again?:)
I tried to seperate the two urls you have posted above and I got to Yahoo but that was as far as I could go.
