What is the best way to remove very hard water stain from a lg fish tank glass? Tried CLR

How do you get fine scratches out of fish tank glass? I have something called a ruby stick but don't know how to use. Do I make a paste?

Not sure if that CLR was a good choice. Most household items aren't good for a fish tank-it could harm yer fish...unless of course, you don't have fish in there?...or plan on having some type of fish in there.

Try using vinegar or lemon juice. ;)

This tank is going to be used for Hermit crabs. I would scrub it really well in any case. Nothing has worked so I bought some polish compound as a last resort. I have never polished anything. I got two grit size: red and white which is suppose to be the finest.
