I have a black painted coffee table. It seems water was spilled on the table and now there seems to be a bubble. It seems like the entire section has inflated! I am not sure how to fix this. The table is solid wood with a shinny black finish. Any ideas how to repair this???

Are you sure this is painted solid wood? Such a thing is rarely made.

Perhaps you have particleboard, swollen by moisture. Or heat caused a laminate to bubble..?

A pic would help a ton.

Many furniture pieces today are veneer over particleboard or lesser quality wood. If water penetrated veneer, the bubbled area could be where water penetrated and lifted the veneer. There is no easy repair.
