Whether heating or cooling, the inside fan will not come on on my trane ex1000 heat pump. using the fan switch, it comes on (but usually will not start immediately sometimes not at all). if i turn the fan off and on it eventually starts. in aux heat mode it works fine. the compressor comes on fine and wont trun off because there is no heating nor cooling.
If i leave the fan on all the time it cools or heats fine.
It is like the compressor comes on when tripped by thermostat, but fan will not

it's likely just a bad switch or connection (as it works in aux).
yrs ago i found wire nuts were corroded and i soldered them at the AH.
i suppose it could be a timer going bad also

Have you checked out the capacitor for it????? When it calls that way give it a push .( know what you are doing) If it starts its the capacitor. Also if its a 3 or 4 speed motor could have a speed going out????
