I'm have a problem with my Ryobi 725r weedeater. When its cold it runs fine (I have to pull it 4-5 time on choke and then take it off and it starts right up). However, after it runs for some time and I stop it, it will crank and run for a couple of seconds and then stop. Could it be the module assembly going bad? Thanks.

I'm not real familiar with weed eaters but I know that with these small 2-stroke engines not starting or hard stating when hot is "Usually" a sign of low compression..

Could be the module...check for spark when it dies. If none, then the module is bad. Could also be a crankcase air leak or plugged gas cap vent. Do you have to prime and choke to re-start it?
