I have a Homelite Mighty Lite 26cs gas tring trimmer. I tried to start it and the rope will not rewind. I took the cover off to removed the starter rope and the sring popped out and I dont know how to replace it. Please help!!!

You will have to wind up the spring until it is small enough to fit back in place. I would guess that there is probably a problem with the spring in the first place, since it wouldn't wind back up. One of the hooks on the end probably rusted or broke off.
