Ok so I just had a new kitchen sink installed and its a black shiny high gloss finish - have no clue what material.\

When I was getting settled in and unpacking yesterday I noticed that there are grey spots all over the place and what I think happened is the contractors (better known as either Larry Curly and Moe or Barney on CRACK) - must have used my @#*)* brand new sink to wash out paint brushes from my gray bathroom - I cant get him to admit it - famous "well I didnt do anything" so apparently the home repair fairy came in sometime and washed out paint brushes.

No matter what I need to find something to get them clean again - when I wash them out with just water or any other cleaner - non abrasive of course - it just spots back up again

So anyone have any suggestions ???

Thanks and much appreciated

If water-based, latex paint, a product like Goo Gone or Goof Off should remove the paint residue. Oil base paint will require solvent like paint thinner.

I do!

Hold on to Larry Moe and Curly Joe's final payment until you get to the bottom of the issue in case the sink is ruined.:)

I agree with Bud - someone hired to work in your home caused this problem, they should remedy it.

Instances like this are exactly why you have a hold back on the contract. Better start documenting. Photos, facts etc.
