What is the correct way to fold up a swag. I hate when they are uneven and do not hang in a symetrical fashion. I love even and perfect swags like in the Victorian era. Thank you.

Hi and welcome to the forums! You pretty much just have to play with it till you get it right. It helps if you have a place to clamp your board onto, like a stand of some sort or the edge of a table. I use aluminum head pushpins and start pinning the swag/pleats in place. and with the pins you can then keep making adjustments till you get it right. When it's finished, just staple it to the board or if you sew the pleats in first, just pin well first, then cut any excess away from the top.

The best way I have found is to place the cut swag on the table with the top of the swag toward me. I get out the ruler and starting with the right side I bring the pleats together making sure they are evenly spaced. Pin. Then repeat with the left side. Then you can place it on the board. I prefer using a tag gun instead of pins, because it goes faster.
Hope this helps.
