Hello, I hope someone can help me because I am at my wits end after spending all day trying to fix my toilet.

The wax seal on my toilet started leaking, so I pulled up the toilet, replaced the ring, bolted the toilet back down, and thought I would be set to go. Unfortunately, I was getting leaks from where my water supply line connects to the toilet. I went and bought a new supply line and installed it, and now I get just a very small leak from where the connection is made.

My toilet setup has the bolt coming out from the bottom of the tank for the water supply line. On the bottom side of the tank, there is a plastic nut that screws all the way up and prevents leaks from the tank. Below that is where you screw in the water supply line.

When the supply line is NOT connected, I have no problems with leaks. When the line is connected but the water supply is off, there is no leak. Once I turn the water supply on, there is a small leak that appears on the underside of the tank, right where the plastic nut meets the underside.

Obviously the water pressure is causing the problem. I have tightened the plastic nut down with a wrench as tight as possible, but I can't get the thing to stop. Any ideas on a fix?
