I have a GE Profile oven. clock/temp is not working. I ordered the clock/temp sensor to be replaced since there is no light coming from the clock etc.
I am wondering if this is a project I can do with ZERO experience in any electrical or handy work. I see all the wires & now am concerned this may be too risky? Or is this process easy? & if anyone would like to explain the process that would be even better on where to start with the wires etc. I know first turn off electricity...got that! I see twist ties holding together some of the wires & it is hard for me to get to all the wires wth those...an these be cut to be able to move the sensor out more?

Hello and welcome to the forums!

Do you have an owner's manual for your stove? If not, go to the GE website, search for your model#, there should be a pdf you can download.

See if this is an item GE says you can replace yourself...if it is, the directions will be there, also. Have you already ordered the part?

Sorry, that's the best I can do for you. You may get another opinion in the large appliances forum.
