I have a natural compost pile that has become infested with fire ants. Does any one have a way to rid the compost heap of fire ants without harmful chemicals? I put the compost around flower beds and bushes and do not use it for any vegatable garden.

I'd burn it and start over.

Welcome to the forums!

I don't know how/if harmfull it is but when I lived in fla [where ants are big problem] I used to use golden marlin fly bait [availble at feed stores] to sprinkle on the the ant hills - very effective and didn't harm the grass.
