I have a Moen single handle shower faucet. The shower head leaks about one drop per second. Where do I start??? Thanks

More than likely the cartridge.

Were it me - I would go buy a replacement cartridge, but not open the package quite yet. Remove the old cartridge, and flush the system while it's out. Clean up the old cartridge (toothbrush/vinegar/water) and reinstall it to see if it still leaks. Not technically difficult, remove the "U shaped holder" and pull out of housing. If it still leaks, put in the new one.. if not, wait a few days then return the new part.
