I own a Zenith pv5263bt 53" projection tv. Lately i've been having problems with the picture fading dark then bright then dark and so on. any tips to what the problem may be would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

Does it seem to have trouble holding a cable signal? or is the overall brightness of the screen what fades in and out?

It's the overall Brightness. It holds the cable signal fine but it goes from dark to bright. it also goes from a sharp picture to a fuzzy picture. ie: in and out of focus. thanks for the reply.

Does it do it with a DVD? Do the onscreen TV menus do this as well?
Sounds like a faulty tuner or cabling to me..
