A friend of mine just called me about the oil in his pressure washer pump.
The pump is a "General Pump"...the instruction sheet says to use "Industrial Grade Pump Oil - Hydraulic lubricant SAE 30W - it is specially formulated with: Anti Wear, Rust Inhibiting, Anti Foaming, Anti Oxidation, & Anti Mosture agents". He was asking if SAE 30W high detergent or SAE 30W non-detergent oil could be used instead. I need to get expert opinions.

We have seven washers in our rental fleet and have used nothing but 30W Non-detergent for years, Never the first failure .....
