Here's another mirror question. I want to frame a mirror and lean it up against the wall. The mirror is 5x3. I purchased plywood 5.2mm I'm wondering if its going to be thick enough to nail the moulding into or should I purchase mdf which is a little thicker or does it matter. I've watched several HGTV shows and each one did it differently. I'm not exactly sure how to even start framing but I want the frame to hold up.

Thanks:confused:

If you are just leaning the mirror against the wall without mounting, then you should opt for the most sturdy option. You can frame as you choose, there are stick on mirror moldings available. You'd have to do an internet search, but they are advertised on late night TV along with all the other crazy products in the US.

Keep in mind that silicone caulk is great for mounting mirrors. Depending on what you are trying to do, you may not need nails, staples, etc.
