My GN190 6.5hp gas engine, attached to a high pressure water punp, will start easily. It runs for a second or two then the low oil indicator light comes on and the engine stops. Has run well in the past.
The oil level is to overflowing as directed.
Is there an oil pump on this engine?
What is the probable cause?
Thank you, Cass

Is this a GX190 (honda)? Is the engine level when checking oil level? The oil sensor can be disconnected to be sure that is the problem before replacing it.
