What do I use to cut a round hole in an old kitchen cabinet, to install a filter faucet? (It may be formica...something very hard)

Are you installing this in a countertop or a cabinet? Where is the filter located? Would it be easier to use a whole house filter system rather than a localized one? To cut formica, you can use a hole saw bit with a drill. Just be sure you drill it far enough from the back to miss the frame work of the countertop.
