I have had this projector for awhile, but I have finally gotten to the point where I need to see if there is a setting for something.
The projector is hooked up to a DIRECTV receiver and works fine. However, the input will not show a picture if not on the proper input.
If I am on ESPN and the projector is set to DVI (HD) then it comes in via HD.....
When I change the channel to something that is not being broadcasted in HD, no picture will come in and I have to change the input on the projector to S-Video.
I have looked over all the settings in the DIRECTV settings and the projector and I cannot find anything that would alleviate this. I am wanting to set the projector to DVI and when i change the channel to a non-hd channel, then it still come in and automaitcally adjust to the highest picture quality it can be broaqdcasted in.
Any ideas?????

The specs seem to indicate that the DVI input must be a digital signal. Have you tried the component inputs? You won't lose much in the way of picture quality. You might not even notice the difference.
