Is there any such thing as an electric dryer that doesn't need to be vented? My developer has forgot to put in a vent for the dryer vent and is now saying that there is a ventless electric dryer. I have never heard of that and don't think it possible but enlighten me is it is out there.
Thanks!
Thanks!

No expert but I was intrigued by the question as well. A quick google search showed more than 10 models by various manufacturers (Bosch is one). But it looks like they can be pretty expensive, and I would think they would need some sort of drain line. No idea on the efficiency comparison to a vented dryer.
How can he 'forget' about a dryer vent? Unless the original design plan didn't show one.
Another consideration might be resale, what will the next owner think?
I'd get them to fix it, even if you decide to go with a ventless.
One of the appliance experts will wake up and log on soon, I'm sure.

Hi,
I have an LG Combo. It's one machine that washes and dries. It's a full size unit, big enough for bedspreads, and requires no vent. There is also no lint trap, although the door frame (front loader) does have to be wiped down.
It takes a long time to do a load of laundry, so may not be ideal for a large family unless you plan well. It is expensive, but well built. Here's a link:

since 71 when I was on strike with my union and took a job doing punch list repairs for a high end builder. I made more money working on Saturdays for myself hooking up dryer vents, dishwashers, washing machines and the easiest money was adding the second hose bib.
