I have an Ademco Vista 20P alarm I wanted to add a 3rd keypad Ademco 6137B in my Master bedroom. When I wired it up I get no Power.
I did a Continuity test and all 4 wires are ok.
I attached the Keypad DIRECTLY to the 4219 Expansion module which is powered by the Control Panel and 6137B powered up Fine.
I then tested the Volts In the master Bedroom I am receiving 13.5 Volts from the Positive & Negitive and I am receiving 12.9 Volts from the Data in & Date out.
I have set the address of the 6137B to 18.
Any Idea why I it will not Power up????

Ok
Do The Lites Come On Behind The Keypad Numbers And No Lcd Display
If So You Need To Get In To Programing And Turn On Keypad Address 18
If You Want To Test The Keypad
Go To Kp #1 Or #2 Press 1&3 At The Same Time And Look At The Address And Make It 18 And Make The New Kp The Address Of The Other Kp If This Works Then You Know The New Kp Works Then You Know You Need To Go In Programing For This You Need The Master Code To See If You Have The Master Code Type In Your Code And 800 After It Like This (1234800) If You Get 20 On The Kp You Are In Then Hit *99 To Exit Then Let Me Know

You need to activate keypad address 18 in the system programming, location *191 1 0, or it will not display anything. You have to do this from another keypad that is currently working.

thank you that worked
But I have an "OC" on the display I assume its because of below
I have on my 6160V "FAULT 104 VOICE MODUELE"
I had that once before and I went to the Comm program and deleated all phone #s
I do not have a CS yet
I also unpluged the power to the 4286 & reset the whole system yet the "FAULT 104 VOICE MODUEL"
is still there.

Go to program: in field *28 enter 00 then exit programming. If you aren't going to use the 4286 module, you have to remove it from the system program.

I think OC means open circut,I had the same thing on my keypad when I had the send and receive reversed,Just a thought:coffee:
