Does anyone know where I can purchase flame resistant material to make curtains to hang in front of my furnace. The furnace is totally sealed and if there were a problem it would most likely destroy everything anyway.

Since FR fabrics are normally only used in commercial settings, I only know of wholesale sources. Not sure if there is any retail place to buy it. Your best bet may be to buy thru a design center, if you have one near you, or if you have any fabric stores near you, maybe they could have the fabric sent out to be treated. Have you tried Ebay? You never know what you find on there. Sorry I don't have any other suggestions for you.

So, just go to ebay and search for flame resistant curtains or cloth?

A little later today I should have a little extra time and I'll see what I can find there and post the results.
Also I should mention that 100% Polyester and 100% Wool are both naturally resistant to fire so if you can't find FR fabrics, you might consider these.

OK, I checked Ebay and all I could find is one - a dark brown velvet upholstery fabric:

Don't know if that will do but unfortunately it won't be an easy task to find a fabric already treated.
Oh, here's something. I found some Fire Retardant Spray. Don't think it works as well as the lamination companies that do this, but if you buy the poly fabric and use the spray, it should work.

if you're not too picky, There are people that make a great living liquidating hotel furniture through retail stores..
Any drape you find thru a liquidator will have been treated.
