My 2 year old put the splash sheild from his potty chair in the toilet when my daughter flushed it. the toilet is now clogged. Can anyone tell me how I can fix it or if I need to replace the toilet?

Hi,
If a plunger won't work, you'll need to post your question in plumbing. (They call them the Terrible Twos for a reason, don't they?:) )

If you can't touch the object from the topside and get it out that way you can remove the toilet and retrieve the object from the bottomside, if it hasn't made its way into the drain. My guess is it is trapped in the trap.
There is no reason to have to replace the toilet.:)

Try removing it with your hand. if you can't reach it, try a closet auger. If that doesn't work, pull the toilety and try to push it out from the bottom.
I would not use a plunger for this. You will either make the blockage even tighter or you may push the blockage further into your drain system where it might be a much bigger problem and expense to correct.

What did you expect? Where you hoping the "foriegn object" would be a fishing rod and reel made in China, or what?:)
