we just bought a foreclosed home built in 2005 with the DSC system installed by ADT (Ranger American).

I would like to figure out how the zones are configured. How can I do this?

I called Ranger American and they refused to provide the installer code because they do not want to be locked out. If I owned the system, why they still do this is just bad practices in my opinion.

I would also appreciate some opinions on alarm monitoring services by

your best bet is to default the panel. then you can use your own installer and master code.
