The dryer is a Kenmore model 110.72822101
Problem: in the Automatic control the dryer runs forever. If I dry in the Timed mode then it shuts after the specific time, as it should.
I replaced the 205 degree F thermostat in the heater housing (the thing that channels the heat into the dryer), but this did not work. There is also a Thermal Cut-off thermostat (maybe it is a switch) and an Internal Bias Thermostat, but I am not sure what they do? I do not have an electrical schematic.
Is this a moisture pad/sensor issue, a different thermostat, or the timer switch? I work on cars so I know how to use a voltmeter if anyone has any checks for me.

Failed timers are common on dryers.

There is a electronic control I have had to replace to fix, look under control panel to see if instruction or wiring diagram there. don't know of any test for electronic control.
