I'm having a problem programming my system. The system was working. I wanted to add four more wireless contacts and hosed things up along the way. In doing so I did a *8 [code] 999. I am now trying get the orginal four contacts working again without even thinking about the four I want to add.

I have a LCD5501Z keypad, set that up and programmed the time and date. I reset the the installer and master code then did the following:

*8 [code] 001

01 01 01 01 03 03 03 03 -- Four door contacts and four window

then
*8 [code] 101-108 (setting 1 3 8 on)

then

*8 [code] 804
01-04 entering the ESN of the devices. -- The original 4 doors

then

*8 [code] 904

open and close doors, only zone one works. they all were working fine.

What am I missing. I've scoured this site looking for similar situations and am frankly baffled.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

I made the mistake of reading the ESN translation on the contacts below the hex version and entering them in verbatim rather then taking the ESN and translating the HEX digits myself. I have got them working again.

Thanks

after your done your programming, just for kicks, go back into your attributes for four zones and make sure the 8 is still on. everything your doing sounds right. as long as your sure that your entering the esn numbers right. also, if it were me, i wouldn't have all my doors on delay, just the main door for the keypad.
