Hi. I recenlty purchased a new washer and dryer. I was not at home during the install. I was not aware that new dryers do not come with cords, so the installer took the three prong cord off my old dryer, and put it on my new one.

I would like to sell my old dryer, but it has no cord now. I purchased a new three prong cord at my local Home Depot, but I have no idea how to connect it to the dryer.

I open the back of the dryer and see three prongs, but I have no idea what cable plugs to what prong. I really hate to wire this wrong and have it blow up on someone.

Can anyone help? I can provide a picture of the connectors if needed.

This usually involves Installing or removing a Jumper from ground to the case of the machine. If you have the instruction manual, the cord installation will be there.

Can You double check the part #....

Just make sure the center wire of cord gets connected to center terminal on dryer (neutral). The other 2 outside wires are the "hots" & can be connected to the outside terminals in any order.
