I have a 3 year old Whirlpool fridge with freezer on top. (model No. ET8cHXKQ05). In the last month or so, i have noticed a recurring problem with water on the inside of the fridge portion. I do not have much for food in both the fidge or freezer above. Water is on the top shelf, and if unnoticed it can collect in the meat drawer, crisper drawer, or underneath the crisper on the bottom of the fridge. What can be causing this drippage? Where is it coming from? I keep cleaning the water up, only to find it again a few days later.
I can never see any drips from anywhere in the fridge. I checked the drip tray in the back of the unit and its dry.
Any help/suggestions would be great. Thanks...

Its either condensate from a bad door gasket or the drain in the freezer is blocked or frozen over. Check door gasket all the way around to be sure its sealing tight with door closed. If so, take back panel off inside freezer & check the drain in center of pan under coils. If froze over, use a hairdryer to thaw & make sure its open by pouring a cup of hot water down hole.

dave..
thanks for the advice. The drain hole in the freezer was in fact plugged. Big time.
Not sure why it happened. I am thinking that perhaps I had too much stuffed in the freezer for a while....
But more likely that perhaps the front wheels of the unit may have been in the grout line of the tile and the water was unable to drain properly to the drain hole???
Hope that it has been solved...
