:alarm: we bought a house that has this system in it,, when we bougtht the house it was a repo and nobody knows what the alarm code is? is there a way to reset the keypad without knowing the old code? it has been unplugged for 2 yrs and when i went to plug it in it alarmed and couldn't reset....any help would be greatly appreciated... once again it is a securitylink sl150 thanks.....

I _think_ that the SL 150 is a modified version of the Ademco Vista 20se. Look in the FAQ for this topic and some of the posts discussing that system, and you should be able to extract the installer code and set a new master code.

that worked great, but now my system only has 8 zones but now i get a code 09 that flashes, if i bypass this zone(9) that I don't know what it is everything works great,, any Ideas what zone nine is for.....all the zones are labeled in the cover and they only go to zone 8....????? any way to eliminate zone 9 for good will do fine... thanks

I have the securitylink sl150 (ademco) and my keypad always flashes code 09 and I have to bypass it everytime i set the alarm... but on the alarm board it sais it only has 8 zones not 9 but I have no owners or operators manual.. any help would be appreciated.....thanks...:D

From the operation section of the Vista 20se (the base model that this system is a modification of):

"A display of “CHECK” and 09 indicates that communication between control and a zone expander or wireless receiver is interrupted. Check the wiring and DIP switch settings on the units."

If you don't have any wireless devices, this code will show if programming location 22 has anything other than a 0 programmed.
