I attempted to changed my old honeywell t841a heat pump thermostat with a ritetemp programable termostat that I purchased. Needless to say, it didn't work and I'm trying to get my old honeywell thermostat reinstalled and wired correctly. I labeled all the wires and it appears I have everything connected correctly now but I can't seem to get it to work? Any suggestions?

Here is what I have labeled and connected:

Yelllow - Y
Blue - X
White - W2
Red - R
Orange - O
Green - G
Brown - connected to W2 and E

What am I missing???
Thanks for any help anyone can pass along.

Why change of stat?

Did you turn off the power at the furnace/air handler before doing this?

If you did turn off, make sure you turn on the breaker/fuse.

If didn't turn off, may of short a wire together, and blew a fuse on the control board or blown the transformer if the board don't have a a fuse.
