help I just bought a used kitchen table
the top is hand painted he said he sprayed 6 coats of lachure or poly ? on it maybe last year

whe I washed it the green comes off
when I licked my finger and touched table to see if it would still come off-- green comes off many colors to it
have know idea what kind of paint it is
he does art deco designs
I want to seal it so I can wash it off
it has a disign so if I spread some poly on it it might move the paint around

The painter sprayed a clear finish on the table after painting it?
What you do next depends on the finish that was already applied. If it's oil based you can spray a polyurethane on top - if water based go with a spray polycrylic. Both will be washable when dry.
