I need to replace a heating element on a ceramic cook top range. What do I have to do? Appears to be 2 screws in the front inside the oven opening. Does the control panel have to be removed or does the top raise enough to reach the element?
It's a Kenmore Radiant range, the right front, 2 coil element (the outer coil works, inner coil does not)
Thanks much
Roy
Never mind. Was a piece of cake. 2 screws in the oven, tilt the top up, 2 screws on the burner, done. Of course I had to put it back together until the part is shipped. Sure was worried about damaging the top. Element is $125, I can imagine what the top would be. Probably cheaper to buy a new stove.
Thanks
