My mhw2000aw washer has a water leak under the machine. The boot that surround the drum is loose. I found a spring in the boot. Is the boot sooposed to be secured to the drum? Is their a repair manual online? The drier is stacked on top. Anyone have any instructions on how to repair this. I'm a mechanic by trade, I believe with a little insight I can repair this.

I found that the blue cable that is suppose to hold the boot to the drum is off, the boot does not appear to be damaged. How does the cable tighten? is their a spring that holds it together?

Yes there shoukd be a spring too.. remove the door hinge screws and the 2 on the otherside will give you acess to the inside...you can pull the boot off the inner door, it just presss in,, here is repair manual for this model
