Before calling Best Buy and hauling my 100 pound TV, my 3 month plus old Sony 52" LCD TV has several sharp black horizontal lines on it. They are there in all modes and all sources and do not move. You must be close to see them. They are very fine and distinct. Three are in the lower left quadrant, covering a 1" high area, the highest 2" long, the middle maybe 1/2", the lower about an inch. Another 1" line is located more to the center of the screen. Again, they are horizontal lines and are very fine and clear like very fine black wires stuck to the front of the display. I just noticed them the last day or 2.

A known LCD problem??

Thanks All...

Scotty

That doesn't sound right. As long as it's still under warranty for awhile, I believe I would stop in at Best Buy to see of their floor model is doing the same thing. If not, there's an issue with the one you brought home. Since it's been more than 30 days, BB probably won't exchange it.

I wouldn't bother calling BB about service, though. Service is not their thing. You're MUCH better off calling a local authorized warranty service center. Or make arrangements to send it back to the factory service center. That's all BB will do anyway ...
