I have a 37 inch vizio and an aiwa stereo. On the stereo I have an auxillary setting. How can I hook this up to my tv to have some dort of surround sound?

Connect the Vizio's audio outputs to the aux inputs of the Aiwa using RCA cables. You won't get full surround sound, but the stereo speakers might be better than those in the TV.

Also, check the Vizio manual to see if the audio outputs can be programmed for "virtual surround" if it has that feature, or if the audio outs can be programmed to act as rear speakers.
