I am having difficulty getting the fire zone to work correctly.

I have a GE Caddx Networx 8e panel. I am using zone 1 for fire and have set it to the correct type (8) in the programming.

What is happening is I get a trouble flashing on the circuit. I have installed the EOL supervision relay and the 3.3K EOL Resistor in parallel with the detector. When I test the leads going to panel I get 3.3K ohms. If I pull the power (open the relay, it goes to open.

The trouble keypad LCD indicates the trouble is coming from this zone.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
David

Hmmm, it sounds like you are doing it correctly, If you have the zone defined as a fire zone, and the 3.3k resistor and the resistor is across the zone inputs via the EOL relay, then you should be good.

Fire zone troubles don't always clear on their own. You may need to enter the fire reset command [*7]

Thanks for the reply. It turned out that the fire trouble had to be cleared.

It seems to be working fine now.

Thanks,
