I'm in the process of tiling the bottom floor of our house.
The existing tile was laid over a paper backing which made it real easy to remove the tile however in trying to remove the paper backing it's next to impossible.
The paper is laid over a slab my question is can I just lay the
new tile right over the paper backing?

Wet the slab and let it soak for a while the paper will scrape right off.:)
