I am looking for a recipe for making homemade wood stove polish. I saw a recipe once in "Rodale's Organic Gardening, Camden, NJ," but lost the book and would like to make my own.

Just thought I'd let you know I tried to find it on the web and it was on a main search page. But it was your post! It brought me right back here, full circle. :) I'll keep looking though.

Came back. Found some already made for $3.99. But one has to know what your stove is made of and if it has already been painted. So what do you have?

If you post the topic in the "Fireplaces, Heating Stoves, Flues and Chimneys' section of the "Interior" forums some one may be able to help you better.

Possibly another moderator could move this post there for you.
