I have some not so deep scratches on engineered dark colored HW floor. How to fix scratches on engineered HW flooring? Is there an easy way to fix and where to get it? I can post a picture if it matters?

Thanks,

Engineered hardwood comes in many different qualities. I saw some at home depot that were basically plywood with a veneer of hardwood that was only 1/16in thick. I also saw some that were a skin of hardwood about 1/4in thick. It makes a big difference, because if you want to sand out scratches, you won't be able to do it if you have the 1st one. If you have the 2nd one, you should be able to do at least one sanding of the floor (and refinishing).
If you don't want to re-do the whole floor, which would be a lot of work, I would try to just touch up the scratches. If you use one of those waxy crayons it will hide the scratches somewhat, but keep in mind that it won't last and you'll have to keep touching it up every so often. It won't harm the wood though, so give it a try.
