I just recently broke the glasstop on our electric range. Replacing the oven will cost upwards of $900. I have called around and the part is about $200. How involved or difficult is it to do the work ourselves? Or should we pay the labor and have it replaced by a professional? Thank you for your time, Ona:confused:

It depends on the make of the range and the age.

If it one that comes with the frame and the glass it is quit easy.

You do have to be careful and label the wiring.

With your model I can help you more.
