i have speed queen AWM352W cloth wahser, its motor start winding gone (most probebly due to lose contect in clutch switch )
I want to replce its motor with normal capacitor motor.
its motor part # 27658 , 1725 RPM 1/2 HP.
1- is it good idea ? & i need wiring diagram for that to make my job easy.
2- i ask motor rewind poeples to rewind it , They sad IT GOES UNBALANCE, any pointer for that ,
looking with great hope, Fawad:o

I'm guessing you want to save a couple bucks going with a different motor other than the exact replacement? Probably not a good idea. Some washers reverse the motor direction for spin, pump-out. Not sure on yours. Plus, figuring out the wiring set-up for a motor, correct thermals, amperage draw, mounting. Not worth the hassle for a few extra bucks for a replacement that fits.

Sorry. Didn't know you were'nt in the US. Anyhow, I checked where I get my parts & that motor is no longer available so I guess you are stuck trying to get another motor to work. Not sure where online you can get that wiring diagram for an older Speed Queen. Maybe someone else here can help. Did you look behind the control panel on top of machine? Some manufactorers put them there. Take the top back off & look around the controls.
