I spent a great deal of time getting the water based stain just right on my hardwood oak floor. Then, when I put on the shellac sealer, the stain ran and is now splotchy. GRRR!
How can I avoid this in the future?
Also, I will follow with four coats of poly. What grit should I use on the final poly coat?
