Hi Ya'll
The ice maker started leaking. Replaced the tubing on back of frig...still leaks. Ice maker goes through the motions of emptying, then trying to refill...but water leaks into the bucket of the ice maker which is on a shelf and not "in door" and freezes in the bottom. Water still trys to puddle in floor too. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Take the front off of the icemaker and and see if you can make it cycle. This way you can watch it cycle and maybe see where the water is coming from. Some icemakers can be cycled by turning the small gear with a screwdriver in the direction of the arrow marked on the gear. Whirlpool i/ms need a jumper wire inserted into the two holes in the bottom right corner that are close together. Remove the wire when you hear the click. It will take several minutes for the water to come in. Remove the icemaker and check to see if the fill tube that lets water into the i/m has ice in it or not. Check the i/m for ice around the area where the water enters.

Thanks for replying.
The ice maker cycles. I had to turn the water off to it because of the leaks. However, even with the water off, it cycles, the arm comes up, then after a while it goes through the motion of emptying (there is no ice of course), then the arm comes up again. When I turn the water on to it, it does what I stated in my original post. Maybe I need to take it out like you said and see what's going on. It is a Frigidaire and over 25 years old. Probably just need to replace it :D It has been a great model though. This is the first problem I've had with it.

Is the leak a gush of water or more like seepage that overflows the icemaker tray [where the cubes are made]? Most likely the water valve on the back of the fridge is leaking thru. It's a fairly easy fix. Can you post the model #?
