Kitchen Large Electric Appliances - Please help - Amana sxs refrig model #sqd26vw

Our refrig. has the ice and water in the door and lately has started to not keep things very cold. The water in the door sometimes stops all together for a while and we go from blowing cold air to not blowing at all. We have also noticed that at times it has started humming. I shut it off and tipped it onto it's side and cleaned out the underneath of it and then I tipped it back up and let it sit for 2 days before I plugged it back in. It started and it looked like it was working but we are back to it not blowing cold air all of the time. If anyone knows what this problem or problems could be please let me know. I would really appriciate all the help I can get at the moment!

Sounds like the compressor might be going bad or the relay on compressor. If the humming sound is coming from the compressor & lasts a few seconds & then a click sound it would be worthwhile to spend around $40.00 on a relay before junking the fridge. A new compressor with labor costs would be very expensive. You can do a search on the internet under "appliance parts" & put your make & model # in to get a price on compressor relay.

The humming sound is coming from the back of the frig. where if I take the back off it is a big blue round ball looking thing. It also does click I have noticed that now. Thank you!
