Someone out there please help me. I have an electric heat pump system in my house and I am trying to to change the thermostat and cannot get it to work. I have a york heating system and I am using a honeywell RTH3100C thermostat. Right now this is how I have it wired

What is it doing or not doing?
B at the stat should not be going to C at the air handler, should be wire to C at the stat.

Thanks Jay I will try changing those that wire. Would it matter that the B wire on the outside unit and the C wire on the inside unit are spliced to the same wire going to the thermostat?

If B was already wired up to C then leave that be. York and Trane called their common wire B, where everyone called it C.

You were right Jay I hooked it back up to C and it worked like a charm. Thanks again for the advice, I really appreciate it.
