I layed engineered floors in my kitchen. Now I am getting ready to lay in my entry way/hallway. Carpet from living room seperates hallway and the kitchen. Should I install the hallway in same direction as kitchen or run against the long walls of the hallway?

Above is a rough layout of the areas I am talking about. The front door is at the hallway. The area on the right is the kitchen, on the left of hallway is the living room. The lines in the kitchen show how the floors are layed.
Thanks

:D Welcome to the DoItYourself.com forums :)

Too bad that layout didn't work. Not the pro around here but from what I'm reading, I'd run it against the long walls of the hallway. I take it it's a narrow hall way? What are the demensions?

BTW: Not sure if it's a rule of thumb but if you have any other rooms you're doing...plan it out first!

The hallway is 3.5' wide x 12' long.
