I am looking for some advice.
We live in S. E. Michigan and want to replace our old asphalt driveway with a new cement one. It gets pretty cold here in winter and sometimes very hot in the summer. We have seen some pretty bad jobs around here. Driveways only two years old or less all cracked and pitted.
We have approximately 1700 SF of driveway.
What would be the right mixture for our climate?
What about reinforcements?
Should the cement be coated yearly?I'm asking that one because my next door neighbor has a fancy stamped concrete drive that requires coating each year.
After the asphalt is removed what should they use for a base?
Thanks in advance,
Rich
