We installed pergo 2 years ago. Living in Denver we know the air is dry and can effect the floors but this winter there are a lot of gaps in our pergo in random parts of the house.
all about a 1/4 to a 1/2 a centimeter wide. They are signifigant and we want to repair them. How do we do that with out tearing out the whole floor to push together?
I don't really want to just putty the areas either. Please help.

Well...not the pro around here but while you're waiting for a response...
There really shouldn't be any gaps anywhere! Sorry to say, but it sounds like it was installed incorrectly. I know there's a trick of some sort but I'll let the pros tell ya.
You're right too about the putty...you don't want to do that and you shouldn't.

Yer going to get requests for more info to give better answers, so here's a few.
When you said pergo, do you mean real PERGO (brand name) or just laminate flooring?
Is it the glue together or the snap together?
Did you install it yourself, or was it done by a pro?
What kind of underlayment was used?(foam, tarpaper,etc)
What kind of surface is the subfloor? (concrete, plywood,etc)
Was a vapor barrier used?
Not saying I can tell you the problem, but one of the smart guys on floors will need at least that info probably.

0.5 cm sounds pretty significant for a click laminate product/Pergo. Laminates shouldn't shrink all that much. Do you have radiant heat?

Or get two people and both put on some tennis shoes that have good sticky traction on the laminate. Run and jump(ya right!) Hop and jump towards each other landing on the opposite planks that need to move.:p

Being the only one with useful info. What is your input on installing the transition pieces?
We installed the Pergo laminate floor and it will butt up to carpet in 3 areas. Does the transition piece go under the base board or up against it??

It butts up to the doorjambs and baseboards/¼ round(if you used ¼ round)
