I just had prefinished hard wood installed which transitions to carpet. A transition strip was not used as I said I did not want an ugly metal strip. Nothing else was mentioned and now I have a pretty rough edge against my carpet. Is it too late to do anything without pulling up flooring or carpet? I have read about t-strips...can this be put down now???
Please help!

Sorry your post has been answered yet and I'm no pro around here, but it I'm pretty sure the flooring has to be taken up (not completely though!) . I'm SURE you can't just slap down a transition. I believe nothing's too late :)
If you had someone do it for you call and ask them if they can do it. Doesn't hurt to ask. ;)
I know someone else will chime in here so check back. BTW: Welcome to the DoItYourself.com forums :)
