We are going to build a sunroom off our MBR and a friend had recommended laminate due to its durability and it won't fade like hardwoods. I visited some big box stores yesterday and couldn't get past the fact that almost all the laminate looked cheap and plasticy and the upper end stuff (they say upper end at least) encroached the price of pre-finished 3/4" hardwood or engineered hardwood.

I saw an engineered at HD that I liked. It is make by Tarkett and is the Quikloc brand. AC3 rating, 25 year warranty, aluminium oxide finish, can be refinished, 9/16" thick. It can be glued, stapled or floated. If I float it will it sound like a laminate(hollow). Should I glue or staple it. Should I use an underlayment. The sunroom will be 10' above grade and will have an Advantec insulated floor. Thanks
