We are looking at doing a venetian plaster in our living room and there is not a lot of information regarding makers of the plaster and where to find it or how much square foot a gallon covers.

Then I saw something about Acrylic Venetian Plaster- not much information on it.

Is the look something you can get with using joint compound then painting or should I use the actual Venetian Plaster and if so on the plaster pre tinted or the type that needs to be tinted?
